Abstract

The paper is an introduction to the special topic of Langer and Whitehead.  It points out several reasons for the general neglect of Langer's philosophical work in research on Whitehead and gives various pieces of information regarding their personal relationship.  The few places in which Langer discusses Whitehead's philosophy are pointed out, and several publications that address the relevance of Langer's philosophy for process metaphysics are commented upon.  [Abstract from The Philosopher's Index]
