Abstract

In "Emergence of Whitehead's Metaphysics" (1984), Lewis S. Ford argues that Whitehead's thought evolved on many topics throughout his career as a metaphysician, and that such evolutions can be traced even in individual books through the recovery of corrective insertions made by Whitehead to his original text.  This article proposes a reconstruction of what may have been the original version of the fifth and last part of Whitehead's magnum opus, that is "Process and Reality".  [Abstract from The Philosopher's Index]
