Abstract

We attempt to establish a dilemma for Charles Hartshorne's process theism.  We argue that if the general picture of the universe presented by the big bang theory is accepted, then Harshorne must abandon either the concept of God as perfectly preserving the past (divine memory) or he must abandon the attempt to explain God's relation to the world in terms of psychicalism.  [Abstract from The Philosopher's Index]
