Abstract

One may ask:  Is Whitehead considered to be a "classical philosopher" in Europe?  Since 1978, several conferences seem to indicate a growing interest in process thought in Belgium, Germany, Switzerland.  A European Society for Process Thought has been created.  In Leuven the Center for Metaphysics includes an important documentation on process thought.  Further research is required to establish the relationship between Whitehead and mainline European philosophy (mainly Kant and German Idealism).  [Abstract from The Philosopher's Index]
