Inada, Kenneth K.  "The Metaphysics of Cumulative Penetration Revisited."  Process Studies 13, no. 2 (Summer 1983): 154-8.

Abstract

The aim is to critically review the concept of cumulative penetration which is germane to Whiteheadian thought but denied to Hua-Yen.  The author of the original essay confuses the concepts of dharma and Dharma, treating the former with implications of the latter.  He denies Hua-Yen the fluency in the dharmadhatu which is central to all experiential process.  Thus, the review attempts to correct any static interpretation to the central concept.  [Abstract from The Philosopher's Index]
