Abstract
The aim of this essay is to examine lengthy correspondence between Edgar Brightman and Charles Hartshorne between 1934 and 1944. The objective is to demonstrate that, despite much in common between them, a monist-dualist divide separated them. Through exegesis of the accounts of experience and the metaphysics of self and God which both present in this correspondence, the objective of this paper is satisfied.
