Abstract

In her "The Metaphysics of Experience: A Companion to Whitehead's Process and Reality", Elizabeth M. Kraus interprets Whitehead as developing a theology in which "the divine world includes all actual worlds simultaneously," thus reducing process theology to classical theology.  I argue against her that she misinterprets key texts and ignores many others in which Whitehead affirms genuine process and incompleteness in God.  I also show how her arguments to prove that such a "block universe" is compatible with human freedom and faith are faulty and involve self-contradiction.  [Abstract from The Philosopher's Index]
