Abstract
This note resolves doubts, regarding the ordering of paragraphs in section 7, chapter 1, part III of "Process and Reality" by Whitehead. The original ordering is shown to adhere firmly to the distinction drawn between objective identity and objective diversity: the idea of "oneness" is clearly developed first, transcending any contributing elements as such; and only then is the antithetical idea of "complexity" developed, requiring a complementary status beyond "sham diversity" and "mere multiplicity".
