Abstract
The article isolates and discusses four central questions in the debate between classical and process theories of God and change. Recent critiques of the theology of Wolfhart Pannenberg by three Whiteheadians (John Cobb, Jr., David Polk, Lewis Ford), and Pannenberg's response, set the stage for an evaluation of the long-term prospects for process/classical agreement. Particular attention is paid to the themes of being and becoming, personal identity, the part/whole relationship, and the Trinity. The primacy of the future in Ford and Pannenberg offers important common ground for a meeting of the two traditions. [Abstract from The Philosopher's Index]
