Portions of lectures given by Alfred North Whitehead are reproduced from notes taken by George Bosworth Burch when he was a graduate student at Harvard.  One section of a lecture on Whitehead's philosophy given by W E Hocking is also reproduced.  Several topics of central importance in Whitehead's philosophy are discussed; his "six principles of metaphysics" (not elsewhere available) are given.
