Abstract

A critical study of several ways in which Whitehead's process philosophy reinforces and is reinforced by the philosophy of Wang Yang-Ming, both for good and for ill.  Wang's concept of "being one body with the world" and its cosmological and moral implications are critically discussed.  The critical question is the potential of totalitarianism in "organic" philosophies.  [Abstract from The Philosopher's Index]
