Abstract

Responding to David Mason's "Time in Whitehead and Heidegger" in this same issue, I question his account of Heidegger's temporal problematic in two areas.  First, Mason doesn't follow Heidegger's systematic distinction between temporality and time, which I sketch.  Second, by 'psychologizing' the phenomenology of dasein he mistakes the specific way in which Heidegger means to overcome traditional theories of subjectivity.  I conclude by identifying fruits of Mason's program which survive this critique.  [Abstract from The Philosopher’s Index]
