Abstract
This article attempts to demonstrate that Lee F. Werth's criticism of Whitehead's theory of extensive connection in Part IV of "Process and Reality" is untenable by arguing 1) that Werth's key theorem 22 is ambiguous as stated; 2) that under either interpretation what he says follows from it does not in fact follow; 3) that under either interpretation it does not follow from what he says it does; and 4) that under either interpretation Werth's theorem is false in Whitehead's system.
