Abstract

The author discusses Whitehead's concept of ultimate generality and indicates that it is not completely general, as Whitehead thinks, even according to the categories of his own system.  The paper further points to more general concepts which Whitehead found to be trivial, but which are nevertheless more general that Whitehead's own candidate for ultimate generality, viz, order, complexity, unity, and relation.  [Abstract from The Philosopher’s Index]
