Abstract

Recent theological speculation on the trinity has conceived the divine nature as an interpersonal process.  Whiteheadian philosophy may possibly be useful here.  On the assumption that not only actual entities, but likewise Whiteheadian societies possess an ontological unity and exercise an agency proper to themselves, then the trinity may be viewed as a democratically organized structured society with each of the divine persons as a subordinate personally ordered society of actual occasions.  [Abstract from The Philosopher's Index]
