After showing how ancient apocalyptic thought both intensified and threatened a narrative vision of life, and after examining similar threats to a narrative vision in contemporary culture, the article shows how process thinking provides the possibility of renewing a narrative vision in which new occurrence can be taken seriously.  [Abstract from The Philosopher's Index]
