Abstract

This is a defense of my philosophy against various criticisms by a visiting philosopher from Poland. I find some gaps between views I hold and views that the criticisms seem directed against. Extreme rationalism and intuitionism, extreme materialism and idealism, also extreme dualism, extreme trust or extreme distrust in great philosophers, extreme holism (the truth is the whole), extreme trust in concrete experience and in mathematico-logical abstractions, by contrast to all these I present my views as moderate. In various other ways I argue that my thought is more subtle and justifiably complex than the critic realizes.
