Abstract
[translated from Chinese]
Alfred North Whitehead (1861-1947) is a world renowned philosopher in
the first half on the 20th century. His philosophy of
organism takes value as its core, paving a way out of the bitter
struggle of modern education that 17th century scientific materialism
and bifurcation nature have created. Not only do education
and culture have an intimate relationship, it is also a demonstrative
tool for its culture, hence we need to pay more attention of
it. According to my knowledge, there isn't any available
literature that focuses on the relationship between Whitehead's Value
Philosophy and education. This book is an attempt to fill
such a gap. The book consists of six chapters: introduction and
conclusion have per chapter each. The remaining four chapters
are divided into two main themes: one on the theory of value and the
other on educational theory.
