Abstract  

    The cultural consciousness lies in not only understanding and mastering the cultural roots and seeds, but also in interpreting the culture and history in accordance with modern recognition and needs. What Chinese culture seeks is the existence of multi-cultures, namely, a harmony. In recent years, the constructive post-modernism calls for the second enlightenment based on process philosophy. What they advocate is to respect others and differences of thoughts. The cultural consciousness, universal in China and West, may make a new civilization with multi-pole globe and multi-cultures existing together.

    文化自觉不仅在于理解与把握自己文化的种子，更在于依据现代认知和需要来诠释自己的文化历史。中国文化所追求是文化的多元共存，简洁地讲就是“和”。 近些年，以“过程哲学”为 基础的“建构性后现代主义”　召唤“第二次县启蒙”，他们所倡导的尊重差别的思想，有助于通过会通世界各国文明的成果来解决人类所共同遇到的问题。中西方 普遍的文化自觉，有望使人类社会出现一个全球多极均衡，多元文化共存的新的文明。
