Abstract
In modern times, some Buddhism organizations of the East
Asian nations including China,
Korea,
and Japan
have put forward new ideas and viewpoints which are different from ideas
of the
traditional Buddhism. The new ideas have the characteristics of new
religions in
the system of modern Buddhism. The new religious includes the Buddhism
within
the world of humans in modern Chinese Buddhism, the Won-Buddhism and
the Tiantai
School in
Korea Buddhism and the
sokagakkai in Japan.
The ideas claimed and carried out by these new religions are quite similar. This paper will discuss
the similarities
and their significant from five aspects which are advocating of
humanism,
attaching importance to human life, and developing the
enterprise and organizing of lay religious practitioners.
