Where is education heading? This is a very important theoretical and practical question.  The alternatively question is: Examination-oriented Education or Comprehensive education?  The answer is different for different schools of educational philosophy:  the former answer is provided by modern philosophers, the latter by British Philosopher Alfred North Whitehead's (1861-1947) postmodern process philosophy.  Whitehead's postmodern process education philosophy challenges modern education philosophy.  This challenge leaves people today with a profound thought and an important inspiration with broad implications for the future.
