Tremmel, William C.   “Harvey H Potthoff: A Theology for Today.”  Iliff Review 38 (Wint 1981): 23-40.

Abstract

This article is one "chapter" in a Festschrift celebrating the work of Prof Harvey Potthoff on the occasion of his retirement after 29 years as Professor of Christian Theology at the Iliff School of Theology. The article examines Potthoff's numerous writings according to two criteria: 1) as they speak relevantly to the modern age--the Zeitgeist Criterion; and 2) as they speak a genuine Christian message--the Kerygma Criterion. Potthoff's affinities with his teachers William H Bernhardt and Alfred North Whitehead are examined, as well as his own creative work beyond the work of his great teachers.  [Abstract from ATLA Religion]
