Abstract
Whitehead's pluralism is inclusive of both the asymmetrical and symetrical views of time. Although the cosmic process is asymmetrical, the unity of an occasion is temporally symmetrical, like the Buddhist view of time. Through Zen Meditation, one experiences the symmetrical nature of time as it occurs in the growth of an occasion of experience. [Bruce Epperly, 21 Jan. 1979]
