Shields, George W. "Introduction: On the Interface of Analytic and Process Philosophy." Process Studies 25 (1996): 34-54.
Abstract
This essay introduces four articles comprising a special focus section of "Process Studies" devoted to the interface between contemporary analytic and process philosophy. The contributors include Nicholas Rescher, R. M. Gale, Leemon McHenry and George R. Lucas, Jr. Covering topics ranging from process semantics to disanalogies between space and time to analytic event theory to critical reactions to Lucas's effort at envisioning Whitehead as integral to early Cambridge analytic philosophy. The essay also contains a survey of the analytic/process literature with a focus on Hartshorne's contributions to the logic of future contingents and to the formal logic of asymmetry.
