Abstract

Essays suggests that E.M. Hunter’s call for a synthetic approach to the nature-nuture dualism can be accomplished by adopting a clinical philosophy based on the process thought of Alfred North Whitehead. It is argued that this approach offers a conceptual framework to integrate the biological and psychosocial aspects of medicine as well as a comprehensive approach to psychotherapy.
