Riconda Guissepe. “Some Reflections on Contemporary Italian Philosophy.” (Unpubl.)
Abstract
Following World War II, Italian philosophy moved away from the absolute idealism of Croce and toward Marxism, existentialism, and certain forms of American pragmaticism. Though Whitehead's thought was first introduced to substantiate Husserl's thought, it has had some supporters in Italy and is a philosophy relevant to Italy's present social milieu.
