Pittenger, Norman. Unbounded Love: God and Man in Process. New York: The Seabury Press, 1976.
Abstract
In this book for the general reader, with study
guide for group use, Norman Pittenger offers a basic restatement of the
Christian creed from the perspective of Process Theology. The author
first shows how the Process world view is the single, most pervasive
"philosophy" of the man in the street (or pew) today. It is the "common
sense" philosophy of our time. But more than that, only Process thought
does full justice to the biblical revelation of who God is and how He
relates to humanity. For at the heart of it, "God is love." Or, in the
rhapsodic words of Charles Wesley, "Pure, unbounded love thou art."
