Nobuhara, Tokiyuki. "Katsumi Takizawa's Approach Toward a World Theology: A Critical Exposition from a Process Perspective." Rough Draft, January 1986.
Abstract
"The purpose of this paper is to
render a critical exposition of Katsumi Takizawa's philosophical
theology from a process perspective. His theological has been a
strenuous attempt at conceiving as clearly as possible of the world, as
it comes into being, by creative synthesis of the Eastern and Western
ways of thinking, as they are represented respectively by the
Zen-inspired philosopher Kitaro Nishida and the Protestant theologian
Karl Barth. That is, the method, as well as the object, of his
theological thinking is global. This is important inasmuch as one of
the most crucial criteria of the authenticity of any theological
enterprise in the late twentieth century is whether it has a global
scope. As shall be shown below, my critical exposition of his thought
from a process perspective, too, centers around this issue."
