Mason, David R.  “Can We Speculate on How God Acts?”  (Unpubl.)

Abstract

Both the traditional account of God's activity and Gordon Kaufman's concept of a divine master act conditioning all events are unintelligible.  God's activity must be seen as being in the context of all other acts by finite beings and as the source of possibilities for finite beings.  God's activity is thus not to be seen as transcendent to or qualitatively different from the activities of other agents.
