Kuntz, Paul G. “From Disorder to Order or From Order to Disorder.’” (Unpubl.)
Abstract
Whitehead and David Hall implicitly base their theories of culture on the faith in the order of things, despite the presence of entropy and disorder. Whitehead’s insight regarding order is found in his denial of the myths of inevitable and perfect order, hierarchical inequality in human as well as cosmic relationships, and perfect pre-establishd harmony. Whitehead’s faith in order does not imply static order, but the transition from old to new firms of order.
