Inada, Kenneth K. and Nolan P. Jacobson, eds.  Buddhism and American Thinkers.  Albany: State University of New York Press, 1984.

Abstract

The purpose of the work is to reveal the quiet but significant interchange of ideas between Buddhism and American philosophy, the latter of which expressed in the thought of such men as C. S. Peirce, W. James, J. Royce, J. Dewey, A. N. Whitehead, H. N. Wieman and C. Hartshorne.  While interest in Buddhist philosophy is steadily increasing, the desideratum is for a full scale philosophical dialogue.  [Abstract from The Philosopher's Index]
