Abstract
The purpose of this book is to
explore two different ways of seeing ultimate truth. This exploration
is known as Buddhist-Christian dialogue and its ultimate purpose is
concerned with the transformation of ultimate concerns. In order to
develop sound social ethics and authentic religious values the
pluralistic nature of our universe can no longer be ignored. Buddha
taught that suffering (which is the start of everything) arises from a
false notion of having or being a "self." Christ taught that the self
is real and that our problem was sin. Are both right? Is there one
truth, or is the Buddhist right about conventional and ultimate truth?
This book delves into these concerns with depth and yet maintains
scholarly integrity.
