Abstract

In reply to Cobb’s proposal to conceive of the relation between dominant and non-dominant occasions within the brain in terms of regional inclusion, the author develops a theory of non-dominant enduring object, or subordinate persons, more bound to the reiterative aims of the body than the ultimate percipient. In thus socializing the supposedly non-social nexus supportive of unified mentality, the author proposes a “division of labor” within the brain. This model is then supported by examples from neurophysiology.
