In a strange way Walter Benjamin's life was one with his work: Their content was the alertness in time, the fragment was their form, resistance was their energy and their dnding was a fright. The author, who is associate professor to the Institute of Dogmatics in Vienna, describes theology of history, as it has been developed by this great Jewish thinker, in comtemporary theological perspective.
