Abstract

Whitehead's doctrine of propositional feeling is restricted to the aesthetic feeling and its application to some of the main issues of the aesthetic experiences, such as the aesthetic object, the artistic creation, art and truth and the function of art.  Before applying the doctrine to these issues, a brief account of Whitehead's theory of proposition, transmutation and of judgment is given.  [Abstract from The Philosopher's Index]
