Abstract
Space and time seem to be irrelevant to paranormal experiences. Yet they are fundamental concepts in the universe as we know it. The metaphysical theories of A.N. Whitehead rescue the parapsychologist from this paradox, absorbing the paranormal into a convincing normality. As the mechanistic theories of Descartes provided a framework to guide the physicists, so can Whitehead’s theories serve as a philosophic blueprint for the parapsychologists, permitting psi occurrences to be examined in a new light.
