Alexander, Samuel. Beauty and Other Forms of Value. Introd. Ralph Ross. Apollo edition. New York: Thomas Y. Crowell, 1968.

Abstract

A large part of this book consists of papers written over a ten-year period which together form a continuous work in the study of aesthetics. Truth, goodness, and beauty have long been described as the supreme values. They are, however, only special cases of value. Thus, as an approach to the study of value in general, the author first considers the highest values, and deals at greatest length with an analysis of beauty, before examining the nature of truth and ethics.
