More and more Chinese scholars are showing interest in process thought.  Universities in Beijing, Tianjin, Wuhan, Xian, Shandong, Hangzhou, Soochow, Guilin, Heilongjiang, Yancheng, Zhanjiang, and Shenyang have established center for process-oriented research in philosophy, theology, psychology, education, science and values, sustainable urbanization, business ethics and ecology.

Center for Process Studies, Wuhan, which is associated with Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). The Director of the Wuhan Center is Kang Ouyang, Vice Chancellor of HUST; the executive director is Shipeng Zou, Chair of the Philosophy Department at HUST.

Center for Process and Postmodern Philosophy, Beijing, which is associated with Beijing Normal University (BNU). Prof. Zhen Han is the director and Chengbing Wang is the executive director. Prof. Zhen Han is the dean of School of  Philosophy and Social Sciences; Prof. Chengbing Wang is the vice-dean of the school, BNU.

Center for Process Thinking at Beijing International Studies University (BISU). Prof. Fubin Yang is the director. Prof. Yang is the Dean of Political and Law School, Beijing International Studies University.

Center for Process and Values Studies, Xian, which is associated with Xian Transportation University. Prof. Yongfu Liu, the dean of School of Humanities  is the director.

Center for Process Education Studies, Yancheng, which is associated with Yancheng Normal College. Prof. Changchun Cheng, the President of  Yancheng Normal College, is the director.
