Process Perspectives Has Changed to an Online Format!

New issues of the bi-yearly newsmagazine, published by the Center for Process Studies, will now be available free of charge on our website.

This change brings the Center’s work in line with its values of sustainability and environmental responsibility, decreases costs and increases availability of process-related news to all who are interested—whether you’re new to process studies or have been with us since the beginning.

New issues will be released in January and June.

The Center for Process Studies (CPS) at Claremont School of Theology is looking for an organized and motivated individual to serve as Event Coordinator. This is a 15-20 hour per week position, with a salary of $14-18 per hour depending on experience. The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning and managing events sponsored by the Center. Working closely with the CPS Executive Director, Project Directors, and staff, the Event Coordinator will take the lead in organizing and executing CPS conferences, seminars, and other events.

Call for Papers: Whitehead Psychology Nexus Workshops

The Whitehead Psychology Nexus Workshops were launched in 2002 in  
Fontarèches. This Easter, we will celebrate the 15th anniversary of  
these inter- and trans-disciplinary meetings and it seems appropriate  
to publish a collection on that occasion.

We seek to gather two types of provocative communications: on the one  
hand, philosophical discussions of the present state of affairs in

We are pleased to announce that the 11th International Whitehead Conference, under the topic “Nature in Process. Novel Approaches to Science and Metaphysics", will take place between July 25th-28th, 2017. The conference will take place in Ponta Delgada, on the Island of S. Miguel and be hosted by The University of the Azores.

National Essay Competition on the Next System

If you don’t like the present system … what’s your alternative?

The Next System Project is pleased to announce our national essay competition on the next system. Judged by a panel (to be announced) of highly respected scholars associated with the project, we will award three $5,000 first prizes for the best original essays by an undergraduate, a graduate, and a non-student. Three runner-up prizes of $500 will also be awarded. We aim to publish a compilation of the best essays submitted.
